At Creed Roasted Coffee, our journey begins with the founder, Colin Creed.

Colin is not only an amateur winemaker but also a passionate coffee enthusiast. For over 20 years, Colin dedicated himself to the art of winemaking, earning more than 20 medals across British Columbia and Canada for the exceptional quality of his wines. Driven by his ardor for craftsmanship and artisan flavours, he decided to combine his background in winemaking with his passion for coffee.

Colin's love affair with coffee started over 40 years ago when he delved into the world of vending and countertop espresso machines. Through his venture, supplying offices and vending machines with coffee, he honed his understanding of what sets apart a truly exceptional cup. After four decades of successful operation, Colin's passion for coffee only grew stronger. After retiring and selling the vending machine business, Colin answered the call to explore his coffee-roasting dreams and enrolled at the Vancouver Coffee Academy, the only SCA certified premier training campus in Vancouver, BC. Here, he immersed himself in the art and science of coffee roasting, refining his skills under the guidance of industry experts.

What sets Creed Roasted Coffee apart is our commitment to crafting coffee with a personal touch. Our beans are hand-selected, and each batch is lovingly roasted in small quantities, ensuring that every cup of Creed coffee delivers a consistent and fresh taste. We roast a maximum of 5 pounds at once, allowing us to perform four loads per hour, resulting in a production rate of 20 pounds per hour. This meticulous attention to detail guarantees that every customer receives a coffee experience that is second to none.

To achieve this level of precision and to maintain the authentic craftsmanship, Colin employs the American-made "Sanfransican" barrel roaster. Unlike flat air roasters with automated systems, our traditional barrel roaster has been used for 150 years and remains an emblem of excellence. The roasting process is completely manual, allowing Colin to carefully monitor and adjust each roast to perfection. When we say "handcrafted," it's not just a buzzword – it's the essence of our coffee roasting philosophy.
